Fred Segal Presents Exclusive Line of Products by Kravitz Design Inc.

TOKYO, April 16, 2016 – Fred Segal, the eponymous Los Angeles retailer known since 1961 as the epicenter of LA style and fashion, today announced a collaboration with Kravitz Design Inc., the New York-based design firm founded by Lenny Kravitz. Kravitz Design will debut an exclusive collection of products uniquely designed to embody Fred Segal’s LA lifestyle and attitude. The collection will launch at Fred Segal’s Daikanyama store to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the store’s opening.

In the Fred Segal tradition of curating discovery, the Kravitz Design collection teamed up with a number of well-respected international designers and artisans to create highly exclusive and limited-edition items. The full line includes:

  • Kravitz Design x Dom Vetro Cortina Acetate Sunglasses: The Dom Vetro eyewear collection is hand-crafted in the Italian Alps under the artisanal expertise of the Maestri, with an attention to quality and classic luxury.
  • Kravitz Design x Elisabeth Weinstock Leather Jacket, Watersnake Motorcycle Helmet and Watersnake Jacket: Elisabeth Weinstock founded her exotic skin accessories brand in 2011. Weinstock’s exclusive range of snakeskins and leathers are sourced the world over. Each of her pieces is handmade by top artisans working in these mediums.
  • Kravitz Design x Parabellum Leather Weekender Bag and Leather Tote Bag: Parabellum is a Los Angeles-based fine leather goods company. Parabellum views their leather goods as functional art, and is proud of the local, micro supply chain through which they are produced.
  • Kravitz Design x Sofiacashmere Leather Tipped Cashmere Travel Set (not available in Japan): Sofiacashmere is a family business with over 60 years in the cashmere industry. The beginning of every Sofiacashmere product starts in the heart of the grasslands of Mongolia and China where the cashmere goat lives in the greatest abundance.

“I grew up shopping at Fred Segal and have always felt connected to the brand and what it stands for – a vibe of laid-back luxury that resonates far beyond Los Angeles,” says Kravitz. “I’m thrilled to be introducing this collection at Fred Segal Daikanyama.”

The Kravitz Design Inc. for Fred Segal collection will launch in late April at Fred Segal’s Daikanyama location. The collection will make its way to the United States at a later date.
