Interior Design Magazine Announces “Best of Year” 2013 Finalists

Preeminent design competition celebrates the industry’s superior interior design projects and products.

NEW YORK, November 13, 2013 — Interior Design® magazine (interiordesign.net), the global design authority, has revealed the finalists for its eighth annual “Best of Year” awards celebration. The esteemed event honors the year’s top design products and projects across industries and sectors.

This year, the publication received 1,800+ submissions, a 50 percent increase from 2012. Product finalists were selected during a public online voting period and Interior Design Editor-in-Chief Cindy Allen and a jury of design leaders will select winners in both the product and project categories. The winners will be announced live by hosts Allen and Interior Design President and Publisher Mark Strauss at an awards ceremony to be held on Thursday, December 5 in New York City.

“We were blown away by the number and quality of submissions we received for Best of Year and are endlessly inspired by the creativity and innovation that we see happening across the industry,” said Allen. “We look forward to celebrating the impressive efforts and accomplishments of designers, architects and manufacturers from around the globe.”

With 62 categories (including 12 new ones), Interior Design received product submissions from 23 different countries. The product voting site received double the number of unique visitors from 2012, netting 290K+ page views and nearly 62,000 votes.

Project submissions came in from 33 countries. Winners will be chosen in 46 categories.

The ticketed awards ceremony will be held at the IAC Building (555 West 18th Street) on Thursday, December 5 from 5-9PM. A full list of the Best of Year award finalists can be found at boyawards.interiordesign.net.
