Luxe Interiors + Design Debuts Designer Show House at Historic Doheny Greystone Mansion

LOS ANGELES, November 5, 2015 – Luxe Interiors + Design magazine, in partnership with the City of Beverly Hills and the Friends of Greystone, have teamed up with 23 of the most sought-after interior designers across the country to temporarily transform the historic Doheny Greystone Estate in Beverly Hills during the magazine’s second national designer show house, Maison de Luxe.

Rarely are the interiors of the mansion open to the public, however, from November 7 – November 22, the public will have the unique opportunity to explore the residence through the reinterpreted vision of 23 top-tier interior designers including; Natasha Baradaran, Andrew Brown, Kristen Buckingham, Nina Campbell, Timothy Corrigan, Patrick Dragonette, Oliver Furth, Cliff Fong, Jane Hallworth, Britt Kleinman, Lauren Liess, Amy Meier, Frances Merrill, Julie Massucco Kleiner and Melissa Warner, Brian Paquette, Peggy Platner, Mat Sanders and Brandon Quattrone, Andrea Schumacher, Mark D. Sikes, Sara Story, Benjamin Vandiver, Chloe Warner and Beth Webb.

“We are delighted to bring this eclectic and supremely talented group of premier interior designers together to reimagine this historical Beverly Hills estate and showcase their respective creations to the public,” said Editor in Chief Pamela Jaccarino. “Each designer has unveiled a unique representation of how the Doheny Family might live today, whether it be through their usage of mixed materials, combination of colors, textures, art and sensory experiences. It’s truly a celebration of creativity and it’s an honor to bring these visions to life.”

“We are honored to partner with Luxe magazine and excited to work with them once again after having done a very successful design show house together in 2011,” said Cindy Brynan, Event Supervisor. “Their selection of internationally and nationally acclaimed designers is exceptional. The work of the designers reflects the fashionable and sophisticated look of Luxe magazine. We are inspired by the imaginative and graceful way the designers brought a contemporary element to the traditional style of this beautiful, historic mansion.”

Built in 1927 by Architect Gordon B. Kaufman for the Doheny Family, the 55-room, 46,000-square-foot estate, with formal gardens on 18.5 manicured acres, is situated in Trousdale Estates above the famed Sunset Boulevard. Thanks to the generosity of participating designers and sponsors, and through Friends of Greystone, a non-profit organization dedicated to the restoration of Historic Doheny Greystone Estate, the property continues to receive lasting improvements and working capital to help preserve its status as one of the great houses in America.

“From the moment you walk through the front doors of the historic Doheny Greystone Mansion you are taken back to a period of time known as the gilded age of architecture,” said Susan Rosen, President of the Friends of Greystone Board of Directors. “As you stroll through the stately halls and beautiful rooms you will see how twenty-three interior designers have shared their talents and gifts by transforming the Mansion into breathtaking yet comfortable living spaces. These interior designers donated their time to share with you their magic, their talents and their love of their profession, and in their doing so they have brought life back to the magnificent Doheny Greystone Mansion.”

Each designer space will be featured in all 14 print editions of Luxe Interiors + Design’s January / February 2016 issue. Maison de Luxe is made possible by participating sponsors including:
