Luxe Interiors + Design Launches Washington, DC Edition

Luxe Interiors + Design launches its 13th US regional edition, serving Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia.

NEW YORK, November 19, 2012 — Luxe Interiors + Design™ (luxesource.com) magazine today announced the launch of its newest edition serving the Washington, D.C., Maryland and Northern Virginia region. The magazine is published by SANDOW® (sandow.com), a leader in building multi-platform brands that meet at the intersection of luxury and design and span digital and print media, licensing, consulting, e-commerce and retail, business information and marketing services. The fall premier issue kicks off the 13th US regional edition for the Luxe brand, extending the national network’s distribution to 485,000.

“We’re excited to bring such a world-class publication to this growing, dynamic and influential region,” said Sean Grace, DC regional publisher. “Its national-regional model brings together the best of both worlds: the latest global design trends as well as the local luxury design scene.”

Grace explains that this combination attracts both national brands and regional design professionals to advertise in the magazine, on its web channel, luxesource.com, and as part of a new, innovative direct marketing brand extension, to be announced shortly. “No other home design media brand offers such an integrated approach to connect best-of-breed design pros with carefully targeted, affluent consumers,” he added.

“Our goal is to be the arbiter of truly excellent design and fine living and celebrate the art, architecture and artisans of this richly historic area,” said Pamela Jaccarino, Luxe’s editor in chief. “There is tremendous talent in this region and we’re delighted to shine a spotlight on the luxury design landscape.”

The greater DC region, including Maryland and Northern Virginia, is one of the wealthiest in the nation with six of the top 10 most affluent counties in America. According to Grace, the magazine’s average reader net worth is $11.7 million with 11% of its distribution flowing through private jet airports. The average reader HHI is $388,000 with 44% owning two or more homes.

Published quarterly, Luxe first debuted in Colorado in 2005 and has since grown to 13 metropolitan markets throughout the US. In July 2012, Luxe premiered its first international edition in China.
