The design industry’s ultimate resource.

Interior Design is the first place design professionals—from architects to interior designers to manufacturers—go for inspiration and ideas. The brand highlights the industry’s most groundbreaking projects, innovative new products, and brilliant people through its striking magazine, robust digital presence (website, social, and videos) and virtual and in-person experiences.

As part of the SANDOW carbon impact initiative, all publications, including Interior Design and Metropolis, are printed using soy-based inks, which are biobased and derived from renewable sources. This continues Sandow Design Group’s ongoing efforts to address the environmental impact of its operations and media platforms. We have a partnership with Keilhauer to offset all estimated carbon emissions for the printing and distribution of every print copy of Interior Design and Metropolis in 2024 with verified carbon credits.

Leadership

CINDY ALLEN
“If you’re really in tune with your reader, the possibilities are endless.”
CINDY ALLEN, Editor in Chief

NOW

I’ve been the Editor in Chief since 2001. As a design junkie, I bring unbridled passion to the pages of Interior Design. My goal is to feature the best work, and to create a home for designers and support the industry. In addition to overseeing editorial, I’m very involved in the community, participating in a variety of panels, juries, roundtables, speaking engagements and industry events around the world. I also serve as the Chairman of DIFFA (Design Industries Foundation Fighting Against AIDS) and am actively involved in The Design Trust for Public Space.

THEN

In 1996, I was brought in as Marketing Director of Interior Design, which I did for five years before transitioning to Editor in Chief.

Carol Cisco
“Interior Design is essential to the design community and I just love being a part of it every day."
Carol Cisco, Publisher

NOW

After more than 15 years at the brand, I was named Publisher in early 2015. In this role, I oversee the day-to-day advertising and business operations, including print, digital and events.

THEN

I worked at an ad agency as VP Account Supervisor, working with brands such as AT&T, Whirlpool and Kraft Foods.
